SAGA Metals Adds Seven More Radar Drill Results. What Do They Tell Us?

SAGA Metals' September 23 update delivers seven more Trapper Zone drill holes, headlined by R-0075's 485.4m interval. Progress in the data — not yet a conclusion about a mine.

SAGA Metals Adds Seven More Radar Drill Results. What Do They Tell Us?

Mining announcements can sound like a chemistry exam. SAGA Metals' September 23 update has a simpler starting point: the company has received results from seven more drill holes at the Trapper Zone of its Radar Project in Labrador.

The headline result comes from R-0075: 485.4 metres at 32.21% Fe₂O₃, 5.30% TiO₂ and 0.191% V₂O₅. That is almost half a kilometre along the drill hole. It is the length of the reported assay interval, not a claim that the deposit is that thick.

Within that interval, SAGA reported 56.8 metres at 49.56% Fe₂O₃, 8.17% TiO₂ and 0.339% V₂O₅. The shorter, higher-grade section is inside the longer interval, not an extra 56.8 metres to add to it.

Why Do the Other Six Holes Matter?

Think of the drilling as building a picture of rock that cannot be seen from the surface. Each hole supplies measurements from another location. SAGA says the latest results add to its understanding of the oxide-bearing system across Trapper North and the Transition area.

For investors, there are two different questions here. Do the reported grades and intervals appear in more than one part of the area being studied? And, eventually, could the project support an economically viable operation?

These assays add information relevant to the first question. They do not answer the second. A long interval or a higher-grade section, on its own, does not establish the size of a mineral resource, the amount of recoverable metal or the cost of producing it.

What Happens to All These Results?

SAGA completed its maiden resource-estimate drilling program in August 2026, with 85 holes and 22,432 metres drilled at Trapper. Following this release, the company says it has assay results from 74 holes. At the time of the release, analysis of 1,900 samples from R-0082 through R-0092 remained outstanding.

The company has engaged GeoGlobal LLC to prepare an independent NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate and technical report. That work is intended to bring the drilling and other geological information together. A mineral resource estimate has not been announced in this release.

The Takeaway

Progress in the data, not a conclusion about a mine. Seven more holes, including the long reported interval in R-0075, give the team more measurements for its geological model. The outstanding assays and independent estimate are important next steps. Whether Radar could ultimately be developed economically remains to be determined.
